Description. Unlike crimp cap vials, Thermo Scientific™ National 18mm Screw Top Headspace Vials require no tools for closure. Manufactured with superior quality (Type 1, Class A) glass, they are available with a round bottom in sizes with usable volumes of 10mL or 20mL.
Crimp and headspace seals ND20 are made of aluminium and are supplied with fitted septa made of a variety of materials. There are the following different types of caps available: Plain caps with a 10 mm center hole . These caps are suitable for standard applications. They are available in several colours on request.

The quality of a crimp seal is strongly dependent on the right calibration of the crimping tool used to apply the closure to the vial. A too tight or too loose crimp will impair the quality of the seal. To maintain good results, make sure to re-calibrate your crimping tool regularly and check the quality of the seal every time you crimp.
